TERRORIST HAS NO RELIGION

Three members of a Muslim family were shot to death Tuesday in their home near the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus. Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23, his wife Yusor Mohammad, 21, and her sister Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19 were shot dead in their own home on Tuesday evening. The suspect, 46-year-old Craig Stephen Hicks, surrendered and was arrested on charges of first-degree murder.  Police responded to reports of gunshots at about 5:15 p.m., Tuesday, when they found the victims’ bodies. The shooting happened in a neighborhood that is mostly rental apartments where students live, and crime there is low, according to the News and Observer

The man murdered 3 people, where is the media coverage? where is the protest? where is the rage? If it were a Muslim behind the gun and shot the bullets the WHOLE WORLD would be ENRAGED and talking about it.

I’m not sure if what I’m feeling is sadness, fear, anger, disappointment or all of the above. Sadness that three innocent young lives were taken in a possible hate crime. Fear that the ignorance and hate-mongering has compelled people to take such actions without thinking. Anger that even if we were to scream our denouncement of terrorists and acts of terrorism at the top of our lungs, nobody wants to listen. Disappointment that our society has reached such a low point where Muslims and Islam can only be discussed in the media if it’s with a negative connotation and in light of any violence instigated by a “Muslim”.

May Allah SWT grant them the highest place in jannah. May He grant their family, friends, and community the strength and patience through this difficult time. May He protect our Ummah during these trying times. Ameen.

Does anyone doubt for a second that the Chapel Hill shooter watched American Sniper at some point in the last month?

When I say people, I mean humans, and by humans I infer that they have the human right to life. Innocent people getting murdered because of their race or religion is, to me, the most coldest form of murder. Every human life matters. Whether you are black, brown, white, asian, etc or whether you follow Islam, Christianity, Judaism, etc. It does not matter. LIFE IS LIFE.

Muslims are only newsworthy when they’re behind a gun, not in front of one.

I know that most of you don’t care that 3 Muslim kids were shot in Chapel Hill yesterday execution style, simply because they were Muslim. Some may even be happy about it. “Good riddance, a couple potential terrorists are gone!” Besides, there are bigger things to worry about. I mean, did you see what Kanye did at the Grammy’s? Like, OMG!

If I’m wrong, say something. Stand up to the racism and hatred being shoved down our throats by Media. Speak up when you see people posting racist bull shit on Facebook and Twitter. Speak up when you hear or see bigots and racists on the streets mistreating others. Why? Because yesterday a man, likely driven by his racism and the misinformation shoved down his throat by Fox news and extremist politicians, shot someone’s children in the heads because no one stood up to tell him that he’s wrong. And while many of you don’t have to worry about your children going out and being picked on or bullied or even KILLED because of the color of their skin or because of their religion, someone you know probably does.

IMO, Craig Hicks and his lawyers are playing up the “parking space” story so they can claim self-defense.
